Instructions
Preparation
Soak the yellow moong dal for 30 minutes
Cooking Steps
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add chopped onions and garlic, sauté until the onions turn translucent.
Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well.
Add soaked yellow moong dal and mix well with the spices.
Add 1 cup of water and cover the pan with a lid. Let it cook for 15-20 minutes over medium heat.
After 15-20 minutes, check if the moong dal is cooked and all the water has evaporated. If not, cook for a few more minutes.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
