Instructions
Cooking Steps
Step 1: Prepare Roti:
In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and salt.
Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough. Add a teaspoon of oil for extra pliability.
Cover and let the dough rest for 20-30 minutes.
Divide the dough into equal portions and roll into balls.
Roll each ball into a thin circle on a lightly floured surface.
Heat a tawa and cook each roti for 30–40 seconds on both sides until light brown spots appear. remove from heat and set aside
Step 2: Prepare the Filling:
Heat oil in a pan.
Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.
Add chopped carrot, green beans and green peas.
Add turmeric, cumin, coriander powder, and salt.
Cook until everything blends well and the moisture reduces.
Turn off the heat and mix in chopped coriander leaves.
Step 3: Assemble the Wraps:
Lay one cooked roti flat, spoon some of the sautéed vegetable filling in the center.
Roll the roti tightly to form a wrap. Serve it.
