Instructions
Cooking Steps
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onion, chopped garlic, chopped carrots, chopped celery. Stir well and sauté for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.
Add the bay leaf, whole black peppercorns, and water to the pot. Mix well.
Bring the broth to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 30-45 minutes.
Strain the broth through a fine-mesh strainer and discard the solids.
Use the broth immediately or store it in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
