Preparation
Wash the raw bananas thoroughly.
Boil or steam the raw bananas with their peel on until just tender (do not overcook). This should take about 8-10 minutes. Let them cool slightly.
Peel the bananas and grate them using a grater or mash them coarsely with a fork.
Cooking Steps
Heat coconut oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
Add urad dal and sauté until golden brown.
Add green chilies and curry leaves, and sauté for 30 seconds.
Add the grated raw banana, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well to combine.
Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the spices to blend with the banana.
Turn off the heat and add and lemon juice. Mix well.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve warm.
