Cooking Steps
Step 1: To prepare Tomato shorba recipe, heat butter in a Saucepan, add bay leaf, and chopped garlic
Step 2: Sauté it for a few seconds
Step 3: Add onions and sauté them well till cooked
Step 4: Add carrot and chopped tomatoes
Step 5: Sprinkle some salt so that it gets cooked faster
Step 6: Let it cook till the tomatoes and carrots get done and switch it off
Step 7: Let mixture cool down a bit
Step 8: Then blend it into a smooth puree in a Hand blender
Step 9: Pass it through a Soup Strainer or a sieve
Step 10: Put mixture into a saucepan and back on fire
Step 11: Add some water to get the right consistency
Step 12: Shorba's are usually very thin consistency
Step 13: Add sugar, cumin seed powder, chilli powder, and crushed black pepper
Step 14: Check for salt as well
Step 15: Let the mixture come to a boil
Step 16: Once it’s nicely boiled, pour it in a soup serving bowl
Step 17: Place the bread croutons on top and serve withFocaccia bread or Masala bread and Ginger tea
