Instructions
Preparation
For Making Tamarind Pulp:
Soak the tamarind in water for about 30 minutes.
Using your hands, squeeze the tamarind pulp to extract the juice. Strain the juice through a sieve to remove any seeds or fibers.
Cooking Steps
In a pan, add the tamarind pulp, jaggery, roasted cumin powder, red chili powder, salt, black salt, and ginger powder.
Cook the mixture over medium heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and the jaggery or sugar is dissolved.
Let the chutney cool to room temperature before serving.
