Preparation
Wash and peel the sweet potatoes.
Slice the sweet potatoes into thin, even slices (about 2mm thick) using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife for uniform cooking.
Soak the slices in cold water for 15-20 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps make the chips crispier.
Pat the slices dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
Cooking Steps
Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (360°F) for 2-3 minutes.
Place the sweet potato slices in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, paprika powder. Toss well to coat evenly.
Arrange the slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking.
Air fry at 180°C (360°F) for 10-12 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through cooking. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning, as cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of the slices.
Once the chips are golden and crisp, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes. They will crisp up further as they cool.
Repeat the process for any remaining slices.
Serve it.
