Preparation
Preparation of Smoked Salmon:
Cure:
Rub salmon with a mixture of salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Cover and refrigerate for 12–24 hours.
Rinse & Dry:
Rinse under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.
Smoke:
place in smoker/grill with indirect heat at 175°F (80°C) for 1–2 hours. Cool completely then slice it before use.
Cooking Steps
Toast the bread slices until golden brown and crispy.
Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh into a bowl. Mash the avocado with a fork until smooth.
Add lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the mashed avocado. Mix well.
Spread the avocado mixture evenly over the toasted bread slices.
Top each slice with pieces of smoked salmon.
