Cooking Steps
Step 1: To begin making Semiya Biryani recipe, Heat a heavy bottomed pan, add vermicelli and dry roast it on medium flame for 2-3 minutes
Step 2: Boil water in another pan
Step 3: Add a teaspoon of oil and add roasted vermicelli to it
Step 4: Cook for 2 minutes or until 90% cooked
Step 5: Drain the cooked vermicelli from water and keep aside
Step 6: Gently fluff with a fork to separate it
Step 7: Heat a heavy bottomed pan with oil, add the spices (cinnamon, cloves and cardamom) and saute for a minute
Step 8: Add chopped onion and saute until translucent
Step 9: Now add ginger garlic paste and saute until raw smell goes
Step 10: Then add chopped tomatoes and cook until it turns mushy
Step 11: Now add mint leaves and saute for a minute
Step 12: Now add chopped carrot and green peas to it and saute for a minute
Step 13: Add required water, salt, garam masala powder and chilli powder
Step 14: Mix well and cook covered until the water evaporates and veggies get cooked
Step 15: Tear the bread slices into pieces and add to it
Step 16: Saute for a minute until everything is combined
Step 17: Add the cooked vermicelli and gently mix with fork
Step 18: Cook for 2-3 minutes in medium flame
Step 19: The tasty semiya biryani is ready
Step 20: Serve hot
Step 21: Serve Semiya Biryani along with Tomato Onion Cucumber Raita for your breakfast or light dinner
