Cooking Steps
Place the Samak Rice in a fine-mesh strainer or a bowl and rinse it thoroughly under cold running water until the water runs clear. Drain well.
In a saucepan or a pot, add the rinsed and drained Samak Rice.
Add 2 cups of water to the rice. The ratio of water to rice is usually 2:1, but you can adjust it slightly depending on your preferred rice texture.
Place the saucepan with the rice over medium-high heat and bring it to a boil.
Once it comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a lid, and let the rice simmer for about 15-20 minutes. Keep the lid on during this time, as opening it may release steam and affect the cooking process.
