Ingredients
Raw White Rice
2 tbsp (30g)
Yellow Moong Dal (Raw)
2 tbsp (30g)
Bottle gourd, elongate, pale green
20 gms (20g)
Carrot, red
20 gms (20g)
Plain Water
1 small cup (200g)
Ghee
1 tsp (5g)
Potato, brown skin, small
20 gms (20g)
Instructions
Preparation
Wash the rice and moong dal thoroughly under running water.
Peel and chop vegetables into small, baby-friendly pieces.
Cooking Steps
In a pressure cooker, add the washed rice, moong dal, and chopped vegetables.
Pour 250ml of water into the cooker and stir well.
Close the lid and cook on medium flame for 3-4 whistles or until everything is very soft.
Allow the pressure to release naturally. Open the lid and mash the cooked mixture thoroughly using a spoon or masher until smooth and lump-free.
Add 1 tsp of ghee and mix well for flavor and texture.
Let the dish cool slightly before serving to the infant. Ensure it is warm and not hot to suit the baby's needs.
