Ingredients
Raw White Rice
2 tbsp (30g)
Beet root
20 gms (20g)
Ghee
1 tsp (5g)
Plain Water
1 medium cup (250g)
Instructions
Preparation
Wash the rice thoroughly under running water.
Peel the beetroot and grate finely using a grater.
Cooking Steps
In a pressure cooker, add the washed rice and grated beetroot.
Pour 200ml of water into the cooker and stir well to combine.
Close the lid and cook on medium flame for 3-4 whistles or until the rice and beetroot are very soft.
Allow the pressure to release naturally. Open the lid and mash the cooked mixture thoroughly using a spoon or masher until smooth and lump-free.
Add 1 tsp of ghee and mix well for flavor and texture.
Let the dish cool slightly before serving to the infant. Ensure it is warm and not hot to suit the baby's needs.
