Instructions
Preparation
Cook the Red Rice:
- Rinse red rice thoroughly and soak for 30 minutes.
- Boil water with 1/2 tsp salt. Add the red rice and cook for 25-30 minutes until tender. Drain excess water and set aside.
Marinate the Fish:
- In a bowl, mix lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt.
- Coat the fish fillets evenly with this marinade and let it rest for 20 minutes.
Cooking Steps
Cook marinated Fish:
- Heat oil in a tawa (flat griddle) over medium heat.
- Place the fish on the tawa and fry each side for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Assembling the Bowl:
- In a bowl, place a generous portion of cooked red rice.
- Top it with the freshly cooked fish fillet.
- Garnish with lemon wedges and fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot.
