Gradually add water while stirring to form a thin, lump-free batter.
Set the batter aside for 20-30 minutes. This resting period allows the semolina to absorb the liquid and thicken slightly.
Cooking Steps
Heat a non-stick dosa tawa (griddle) on medium heat. Ensure the tawa is well-heated before pouring the batter.
Stir the batter to ensure it is smooth and pourable. If it thickened too much during resting, add a little water to adjust consistency.
Pour a ladleful of batter onto the tawa and spread it thinly in circular motions to form a dosa.
Cook the dosa on medium heat until it turns golden and crispy. There is no need to use oil for this recipe, making it weight-loss-friendly.
Carefully lift the dosa using a spatula and serve hot. Repeat for the remaining batter.
