Cooking Steps
Step 1: To begin making Raw Banana Raita Recipe, pressure cook the plantain or raw banana for 2 whistles using a pressure cooker
Step 2: Once it is cooked, peel the skin, grate it using a fine grater and keep aside
Step 3: Add the yogurt to a big bowl and whisk it into a creamy consistency
Step 4: To this add the grated plantain or the raw banana, grated ginger, cumin powder, salt and mix well
Step 5: Now heat oil in a small tadka pan, add mustard seeds, urad dal and let it crackle
Step 6: Add the red chilli and curry leaves and let it splutter
Step 7: Pour this tadka over the raita and sprinkle a pinch of cumin powder on top
Step 8: Serve the Raw Banana Raita along with Vegetable Biryani and Salad for the weekend lunch
