Instructions
Preparation
Rajma (kidney beans), soaked overnight
Cooking Steps
Drain the soaked rajma and pressure cook with 2 cups of water and a little salt for 3-4 whistles or until cooked. Keep aside.
In a bowl, whisk together the low-fat curd, gram flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
In a pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds and let them splutter.
Add tomato puree and sauté for 2-3 minutes until it thickens.
Add the curd mixture and water to the pan. Stir well and bring to a boil.
Add the cooked rajma to the pan and mix well.
Let the kadhi simmer for 15-20 minutes until it thickens and the flavors are well combined.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
