Rajma Rice (Infants)
Rajma Rice is a protein-rich and easily digestible dish combining kidney beans (rajma) and rice. The rajma is soaked and pressure-cooked until very soft, then mashed thoroughly and mixed with rice to create a smooth, baby-friendly texture.

Ingredients
Raw White Rice
2 tbsp (30g)
Rajmah, red
2 tbsp (30g)
Ghee
1 tsp (5g)
Plain Water
1 medium cup (250g)
Instructions
Preparation
Wash the rajma thoroughly and soak it in plenty of water overnight (8-12 hours).
Wash the rice under running water.
Cooking Steps
Drain the soaked rajma and transfer it to a pressure cooker. Add enough water to cover the rajma and pressure-cook on medium flame for 6-7 whistles or until the rajma becomes very soft.
In a separate pan or pressure cooker, cook the rice with water until soft.
Mash the cooked rajma thoroughly using a spoon or masher until smooth and lump-free.
Mix the mashed rajma with the cooked rice. Stir well to combine evenly.
Add 1 tsp of ghee and mix thoroughly for flavor and texture.
Let the dish cool slightly before serving to the infant. Ensure it is warm and not hot to suit the baby's needs.
