Pyaaz Pakora (Onion Fritters)
Pyaaz Pakoras are a popular Indian snack made by deep-frying onion fritters in a chickpea flour batter. In this healthier version, we will use an appe maker (also known as an appe pan or paniyaram pan) to make crispy and delicious onion fritters with minimal oil. This recipe reduces the overall oil content while still retaining the traditional flavors of Pyaaz Pakoras.

In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpea flour, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt.
Add water gradually to make a smooth batter of medium consistency.
Add the thinly sliced red onions to the batter and mix well to coat the onions evenly.
Heat the appe maker and lightly grease each cavity with cooking spray or a small amount of oil.
Place a spoonful of the onion batter into each cavity of the appe maker.
Cook the pakoras on medium heat, flipping them occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides.
Repeat the process until all the batter is used.
