Cooking Steps
Step 1: To begin making the Foxtail Millet Uppu Kozhukattai Recipe, soak foxtail millet in water for about 4 hours or overnight

Step 8: In a medium Kadai, add oil and heat it over medium heat
Step 9: Once the oil is hot, add mustard seeds and urad dal
Step 10: Let it splutter
Step 11: Once done add curry leaves, coriander leaves, and chopped chilies
Step 12: Saute for a few seconds and add onions and saute until they become transparent
Step 13: Once the onions have turned translucent reduce the heat and add grounded batter to the pan
Step 14: Stir continuously and mix well to combine
Step 15: The mixture will thicken immediately
Step 16: After the mixture thickens turn off the heat
Step 17: While the mixture is hot, scoop out the batter using a spoon and roll them into small rounds
Step 18: Repeat the same with the remaining batter
Step 19: Steam the balls in the idli cooker or in pressure cooker for about 10 minutes till the dumplings turn shiny
