Cooking Steps
Rinse the bajra and urad dal in water and soak them separately in water for 6-8 hours.
Drain the water from the bajra and urad dal and blend them in a mixer or blender until they become a smooth batter. Add water as needed to achieve the desired consistency.
Remove the batter from the mixer or blender and transfer it to a large bowl.
Add salt to taste and mix well.
Cover the bowl and let the batter ferment for 8-10 hours in a warm place.
After fermentation, mix the batter well and adjust the consistency by adding water as needed.
Heat a non-stick tawa or griddle over medium heat.
Pour a ladleful of batter onto the tawa and spread it evenly in a circular motion.
Drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges of the dosa.
Cook the dosa for 1-2 minutes until the edges start to lift off the tawa.
Flip the dosa and cook for another 1-2 minutes until it is cooked through.
Remove the dosa from the tawa and serve hot.
