Cooking Steps
Step 1: To make Patiala Potato Recipe, first peel and chop the potatoes
Step 2: Soak them in water and keep them separately
Step 3: Now heat mustard oil in a pan
Step 4: After heating, add cumin seeds, bay leaves, fenugreek seeds, asafoetida and cook until the cumin seeds crackle
Step 5: Now take out the potatoes from the water and put them in the pan
Step 6: After 1 minute, add green chili, salt, turmeric powder and mix it well
Step 7: Cover the pan and cook until the potatoes are cooked well
Step 8: It will take 12 to 15 minutes
Step 9: After this add red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, mango powder, chaat masala powder and garam masala powder
Step 10: Add some water and mix well
Step 11: After 1 minute add tomato puree, tamarind paste and mix well
Step 12: Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, garnish with green coriander and serve
Step 13: Serve the Patiala Aloo Recipe with dal tempering and phulka for dinner
