Preparation
Grate the potatoes into thin matchstick-like strips
Cooking Steps
Heat oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add potato matchsticks and stir fry until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green chilies. Sauté for another 2-3 minutes until the raw smell goes away.
Add ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Stir well.
Add the minced meat and cook until it is browned.
Add water, cover the skillet with a lid and let it cook for 10-15 minutes until the meat is tender and the water has evaporated.
Add salt to taste and mix well.
Garnish with fried potato matchsticks and chopped cilantro.
