Parboiled Rice (Cooked)
Parboiled rice is rice that has been partially boiled in the husk. It is a healthier alternative to white rice, as it retains more nutrients during processing. It has a firmer texture and is less sticky, making it a great choice for a variety of dishes, from curries to stir-fries.

Preparation
Rinse the Rice:
- Wash the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This removes any surface starch and improves the texture of the cooked rice.
Cooking Steps
In a pot, bring 2.5 cups of water to a boil.
Add the rinsed parboiled rice to the boiling water. Stir gently.
Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a lid, and let the rice simmer for 20–25 minutes.
Check if the rice is tender and the water is absorbed. If needed, cook for a few more minutes, adding a splash of water.
Remove from heat and let the rice sit, covered, for 5 minutes.
Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
