Ingredients
Raw White Rice
2 tbsp (30g)
Yellow Moong Dal (Raw)
0.25 small cup (25g)
Spinach
30 gms (30g)
Ghee
1 tsp (5g)
Plain Water
1 medium cup (250g)
Instructions
Preparation
Wash the rice and moong dal thoroughly under running water.
Wash the palak (spinach) thoroughly to remove dirt and chop finely.
Cooking Steps
In a pressure cooker, add the washed rice, moong dal, and chopped palak.
Pour 250ml of water into the cooker and stir well.
Close the lid and cook on medium flame for 3-4 whistles until everything is very soft.
Allow the pressure to release naturally. Open the lid and mash the cooked mixture thoroughly using a spoon or masher until smooth and lump-free.
Add 1 tsp of ghee and mix well to enhance flavor and texture.
Let the dish cool slightly before serving to the infant. Ensure it is warm and not hot to suit the baby's needs.
