Cooking Steps
Step 1: To begin making the Onion Bajji Recipe, we need to make the besan pakora batter first
Step 2: In a mixing bowl combine all the ingredients of bajji batter which includes gram flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, ajwain, asafoetida, and salt
Step 3: Mix in just enough water to form a thick batter to thickly coat back of a spoon
Step 4: Keep the batter aside
Step 5: Heat oil in a kadai for deep frying the onion bajji on medium heat
Step 6: Coat each of the sliced onion roundels in the gram flour bajji batter and gradually let it into the oil and deep fry until golden brown in color
Step 7: Drain the Onion Bajji on an absorbent paper placed in a plate to absorb the excess oil and serve hot
Step 8: Serve Onion Bajji Recipe along with Green Chutney and a steaming hot cup of Adrak Chai
Step 9: This onion bajji is also simple to make and makes a great indian party starter
