Preparation
Clean mushrooms thoroughly to remove dirt and cut mushrooms into halves or quarters..
Slice one onion and dice the other.
Cooking Steps
Heat oil in a kadai over medium heat. Once hot, add cumin seeds and allow them to splutter.
Add sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for a couple of minutes until the raw smell disappears.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook for another 3-4 minutes until they become soft and meld into the mixture.
Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt. Mix well.
Add quartered mushrooms, cubed onion and cook for about 5-6 minutes, or until they release their moisture and start to brown.
Lower the heat and add beaten curd. Stir continuously to prevent curdling. Cook for another 3-4 minutes.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
