Cooking Steps

Step 1: To make Moong Dal Methi vegetable, first heat oil in a pan

Step 2: Add cumin seeds and let it cook for 10 seconds

Step 3: After 10 seconds, add green chillies, asafoetida and let it cook for a few seconds, now add onions and cook till the onions become soft

Step 4: After the onion becomes soft, add ginger, tomatoes and let it cook for 2 minutes

Step 5: Now add moong dal, turmeric powder, coriander powder and cook for 1 minute

Step 6: Now add 1/2 cup of water, salt and mix it all

Step 7: Cover the pan and let it cook for 7 to 8 minutes

Step 8: Add the fenugreek and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes

Step 9: Serve hot
