Onion Finely Chopped
0.5 medium cup (75g)
Cumin seeds
1 tsp (3g)
Common salt
0.5 tsp (2.5g)
Coriander leaves
1 tsp (5g)
Ginger, fresh
1 tsp grated (2g)
Chopped Green Chilli
1 tsp (2g)
Chopped Tomato
1 small cup (100g)
Garlic paste

Instructions
Cooking Steps
Rinse the split yellow lentils in water until the water runs clear.
In a pressure cooker, add the lentils, water, onion, tomato, ginger grated, garlic paste, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
Close the pressure cooker lid and cook on high heat until you hear 3-4 whistles.
Turn off the heat and let the pressure release naturally.
Open the pressure cooker lid and stir the dal to ensure it is well combined.
Heat oil in a small pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
Add the tempering to the dal and mix well.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
