Ginger Paste

Preparation
*Banana Blossom Preparation*:
- Peel and discard the hard outer layers of the banana blossom until you reach the tender inner layers.
- Remove the hard stigma (thread-like part) from each floret.
- Chop the tender florets finely and soak in water with a pinch of turmeric to prevent discoloration.
- Boil the chopped banana blossom in salted water for 8–10 minutes, then drain and set aside.
-Grate coconut.
Cooking Steps
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add cumin seeds, allowing them to splutter.
Add the boiled banana blossom, green peas, salt, and turmeric powder.
Mix well and cover the pan. Cook for 8–10 minutes on low-medium heat until the vegetables are tender.
Add ginger paste and garam masala. Mix thoroughly.
Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the dish is dry and all the flavors are well combined (ghonto style).
Garnish with grated coconut and serve hot.
