Missi roti is an Indian flatbread that is typically made with wheat flour and gram flour (besan). This recipe replaces wheat flour with oats flour, making it gluten-free and a great option for people with gluten allergies. The addition of oats flour increases the fiber content, making it ideal for weight loss. This dish is also a good source of protein and is suitable for vegetarian diets. Cooking Steps
In a mixing bowl, combine besan, oats flour, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and mix well.
Add water, a little at a time, and knead the dough until it is smooth and pliable. The dough should be slightly sticky but not too wet.
Divide the dough into equal-sized balls and roll them out into thin circles using a rolling pin.
Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat. Place the rolled-out roti on the tawa and cook for 1-2 minutes until the bottom is lightly browned.
Flip the roti over and cook the other side until lightly browned.
Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls.
Serve hot.
