Cooking Steps
Step 1: To make Matar Poha, first heat the water in a saucepan
Step 2: Add the peas and cook till they become soft
Step 3: Remove the peas and keep them aside
Step 4: Now wash the poha thoroughly
Step 5: Take out the water from the sieve female and keep it separately
Step 6: Heat oil in a pan
Step 7: Add asafetida, cumin seeds and mustard seeds and cook for 30 seconds
Step 8: After 30 seconds, add curry leaves, green chilies and cook for 1 minute
Step 9: Add onion after 1 minute and cook till the onion becomes soft
Step 10: After the onion softens, add turmeric powder, salt, peas and poha to it
Step 11: Mix well, sprinkle some water, cover the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes
Step 12: Turn off the gas and cover the pan
Step 13: Leave it covered for 5 to 6 minutes and garnish with green coriander and add lemon juice and mix
Step 14: Serve Matar Poha with Masala Tea for breakfast and fruits of your choice
