Step 1: To begin making the Maharashtrian Style Kakdichi Amti grind all the ingredients to form a paste
Step 2: Keep it aside
Step 3: Heat a pan with ghee, add chillies and saute them till they soften
Step 4: Add cucumber and saute for 2 more minutes
Step 5: Add about 1 ½ cup of water and boil the cucumber for about 5 minutes
Step 6: Once done add the ground spice paste along with tamarind water and cook them again till the gravy thickens
Step 7: Add sugar and salt and adjust according to your palate Do not boil the amti once the salt is added
Step 8: Serve the Kakdichi Amti along with phulka, tawa paratha and Bhindi Masala Recipe to enjoy your comforting meal
