Step 1: To begin making the Maharashtrian Ghavan Recipe, soak the rice in water overnight or 5 to 6 hours
Step 2: Once soaked well
Step 3: Grind into a smooth thick batter adding little water at a time
Step 4: Transfer the ground Ghavan batter into a bowl and add the salt and some more water to adjust the consistency of the Ghavan to ensure it is not very thick nor very thin
Step 5: Cover the batter and keep it aside for 10 to 15 minutes
Step 6: Heat a non-stick tawa and spread a little oil on it
Step 7: Stir the batter and pour the batter from the edge of the pan moving towards the center
Step 8: Spread evenly
Step 9: Reduce the heat
Step 10: Drizzle little oil all around and cook it until light brown
Step 11: Now flip it and cook it on other side too
Step 12: Transfer Ghavan on a serving plate and serve immediately
