Cooking Steps
Step 1: To begin making Macher Chop Recipe (Bengali Style Fish Croquettes), clean the fish pieces

Step 9: Add ginger paste and chopped ginger, garlic paste mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes
Step 10: Add the mashed fish and mix well, cook for 2-3 min
Step 11: Add mashed potato, salt and sugar, mix well
Step 12: Add turmeric powder, roasted cumin powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, mix well
Step 13: Add chopped coriander and green chilies, mix well
Step 14: Let the fish mix cool down
Step 15: Shape up the mixture
Step 16: You can make any shape of your choice

Step 18: In a bowl beat the eggs some water and salt
Step 19: In another plate take the breadcrumbs
Step 20: Roll the patties in breadcrumbs and keep them aside for 10 minutes
Step 21: Then dip each fish patty into the egg wash, roll in breadcrumb to coat well
Step 22: Keep aside
Step 23: Repeat the process for all other patties
Step 24: Keep the patties in refrigerator for 30 minutes
Step 25: Heat oil in a deep pan or wok
Step 26: Slowly slide the croquettes 3-4 at a time and fry the fish croquettes to brown
