Instructions
Cooking Steps
Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add chopped onion, chopped garlic, celery, and carrot. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are soft.
Add cod fish pieces, peppercorns, and salt. Mix well.
Add 5 cups of water and bring the mixture to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low and let the broth simmer for 30-40 minutes until the fish is cooked and the broth is flavorful.
Remove the bay leaf and peppercorns from the broth.
Strain the broth through a fine-mesh strainer to remove any solids.
Serve the broth hot in a bowl.
