Preparation
-licorice root, rinse it under running water to remove any dirt. Break it into smaller pieces for better infusion.
Cooking Steps
Heat 500ml of water in a saucepan.
Add the licorice root to the water and bring it to a boil.
Lower the heat and simmer for 8-10 minutes to allow the licorice to infuse into the water.
Turn off the heat and let the water sit for 5 minutes to cool slightly.
Strain the liquid into a glass to remove the licorice pieces.
Serve warm.
