Cooking Steps
Step 1: To begin making the Lauki Badi Ki Sabzi recipe, firstly roast the badi in a pan until it turns brown
Step 2: Take it out and keep it aside to cool down
Step 3: Now heat oil or ghee in a wok/kadhai and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and asafoetida
Step 4: Once the mustard seeds splutter, add in the green chillies, asafoetida and ginger garlic paste
Step 5: Add in the chopped lauki and cook till it becomes soft and tender
Step 6: Once it is done add in the roasted badi and give it a stir
Step 7: Add in the masalas including red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala and the required salt
Step 8: Add in the required milk
Step 9: Don't add too much milk because the bad becomes soft very fast
Step 10: Cook till the badi becomes soft
Step 11: Stir in the coriander leaves and transfer the Lauki Badi ki Sabzi to as serving bowl and serve hot
Step 12: Serve Lauki Badi Ki Sabzi along with Panchmel Dal and Pudina Tawa Paratha for a weekday lunch or dinner
