Instructions
Preparation
-Wash and soak moong dal for 30 mins.
Cooking Steps
Heat oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add chopped onions and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they turn translucent.
Add finely chopped tomatoes and green chili. Cook for 3-4 minutes until they soften and turn mushy.
Add chopped spinach and soaked moong dal. Mix well.
Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Stir well.
Add 3 cups of water and stir.
Cover the pressure cooker with a lid and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles over medium heat.
Let the pressure release naturally before opening the lid.
For the lasooni tadka, heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped garlic and sauté until golden brown.
Pour the lasooni tadka over the dal and mix well.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
