Preparation
Soak dried kokum (amsul) in 1 cup warm water for 30–40 minutes.
Mash and strain to extract tangy pulp; discard the solids.
Cooking Steps
In a bowl or pitcher, mix the kokum pulp with the remaining water (250ml). Adjust the water quantity to your desired consistency.
Add the roasted cumin powder and black salt. Stir until fully dissolved.
Taste the sherbet. If needed, adjust the salt or cumin powder to your preference.
Chill the sherbet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or serve immediately over ice cubes.
Pour into glasses, add ice cubes, and enjoy the tangy, cooling drink!
