Cooking Steps
Step 1: To begin making the Kohlrabi recipe, take kohlrabi and peel the outer fibrous part and cut into small squares
Step 2: Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan
Step 3: When heated, add cumin seeds and mustard seeds
Step 4: When they splutter, add a teaspoon of black urad dal
Step 5: Saute until the dal tuurns brown
Step 6: Now add in curry leaves, dry red chillies and turmeric powder
Step 7: After 1 minute, add sliced onions and fry till the onion becomes soft
Step 8: Add tomato slices and cook till they become little soft
Step 9: Add fresh peas followed by kohlrabi slices and mix everything
Step 10: Now close the lid and cook for some more time mixing at regular intervalsAdd spices - coriander powder, red chilli powder and salt as per taste
Step 11: Add dry dessicated coconut, mix everything and cook for few minutes by closing lid
Step 12: Cook till kohlrabi slices become soft
Step 13: Turn off the heat and garnish with coriander leaves
Step 14: Serve Kohlrabi along with Dal Tadka and Steamed Rice for a weekday meal with your family
