Instructions
Cooking Steps
In a pot, add water and start heating it over medium heat.
Add the sliced or grated ginger to the water.
Add cloves, black peppercorns, cinnamon sticks, and crushed cardamom pods to the water.
Stir in the turmeric powder.
Add fennel seeds to the mixture.
Allow the mixture to come to a boil, and then lower the heat to a simmer. Let the Kahda simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
After simmering, turn off the heat and let the Kadha cool down slightly.
Squeeze in fresh lemon juice to taste.
Strain the Kahda before drinking to remove the solid spices and herbs.
