Cooking Steps
Step 1: To begin making the Kadai Egg Masala Recipe, please follow the recipe link on How to boil the eggs
Step 2: deshell them and keep it ready
Step 3: Heat a kadai pan with oil, add the onions, green bell peppers, ginger, garlic and sauté until the onions and peppers are tender
Step 4: Once the onion and peppers have turned slightly tender, add the tomatoes, turmeric powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder, red chilli powder and saute until the water from the tomatoes have evaporated and become a thick paste
Step 5: Add butter, salt, cardamom powder or badi elaichi and and sauté for few more minutes
Step 6: Cut the egg into half and add the egg pieces and kasuri methi
Step 7: Cover the pan and simmer the kadai Egg for a few minutes on low heat
Step 8: After a few minutes, turn off the heat
Step 9: Check the salt and spice levels and adjust to suit your taste
Step 10: Transfer the Kadai Egg to a serving bowl and serve warm
