Instructions
Cooking Steps
To make the roti, combine the jowar flour and salt in a mixing bowl. Add warm water gradually and knead into a smooth dough. Cover and set aside for 15-20 minutes.
To make the stuffing, heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
Add chopped onions and green chili. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.
Add grated cabbage and carrot. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.
Add salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Turn off the heat and let the stuffing cool down.
Divide the dough into equal-sized balls and flatten them into discs.
Place a spoonful of the stuffing in the center of each disc. Bring the edges of the disc together and seal the stuffing inside the dough.
Roll out each stuffed ball into a roti.
Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat. Cook the roti on both sides until golden brown spots appear.
Serve hot.
