Cooking Steps
Step 1: To begin making the Jowar Atta Roti/ Phulka Recipe, keep all the ingredients ready
Step 2: Into a large mixing bowl, add jowar flour, whole wheat flour and salt to taste
Step 3: Add little water at a time to knead to make a smooth dough
Step 4: Drizzle 1 teaspoon of oil towards the end and knead until the dough comes away from the sides of the pan and is smooth
Step 5: Divide the dough into lemon size portions
Step 6: Take a portion of the dough and dust it in wheat flour
Step 7: Roll the dough into a 5 to 6 inch diameter circle
Step 8: Place the rolled out dough on a preheated skillet and cook for a few seconds until small bubbles appear on the surface
Step 9: Flip and cook the roti for a few seconds and place it over the open flame
Step 10: Cook till Jowar roti puffs up
Step 11: Keep flipping and cooking the Jowar Atta Roti till brown spots appear on both sides and the roti is cooked through
Step 12: Once done transfer the Jowar Atta Roti onto a serving plate
Step 13: Drizzle ghee around the roti and serve immediately
Step 14: Serve the Jowar Atta Roti Recipe along with Panchmel Dal, Aloo Baingan Ki Sabzi and Satvik Carrot Sprout Salad to make it a complete meal
