Instructions
Cooking Steps
Rinse the brown rice in cold water until the water runs clear.
In a pot, combine the rice, water, cumin seeds, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
Once the water starts boiling, lower the heat and cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid.
Let the rice simmer for 40-50 minutes or until all the water has been absorbed and the rice is cooked through.
Turn off the heat and let the rice sit, covered, for an additional 5 minutes.
Fluff the rice with a fork and transfer it to a serving bowl.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
