Cooking Steps
Step 1: To begin making the Jackfruit Idli Recipe, peel, deseed and chop jackfruit roughly
Step 2: In a Mixer, combine jackfruit pieces, jaggery, grated coconut, and cardamom to a fine paste along with little water
Step 3: Transfer the jackfruit puree into a mixing bowl
Step 4: To this bowl, add rice rava and salt, mix everything well
Step 5: Allow this Jackfruit Idli batter to sit for 10-20 minutes so that the rice rava soaks well in the mix
Step 6: Then, check the consistency of the batter
Step 7: It should be little thicker than idli batter
Step 8: No fermentation is required
Step 9: Heat water in an Idli steamer
Step 10: Grease idli moulds with ghee
Step 11: Pour the batter into the cavities
Step 12: Steam the Jackfruit Idlis for 15 minutes on a medium flame
Step 13: Prick a toothpick, if it comes clean, idlis are done
Step 14: Allow the steamer stand to cool a bit and then remove idlis from moulds using a spoon or a knife
Step 15: Sweet Jackfruit idlis are ready to serve
Step 16: Serve Jackfruits Idlis with Idli Dosa Milagai Podi or a Spicy chutney like Spicy Garlic Chutney for a scrumptious breakfast and Filter Coffee
