Cooking Steps
Step 1: To begin making the Healthy Whole Wheat Brown Butter Banana Bread Recipe, melt the butter in a pan on medium heat
Step 2: Butter will start foaming and crackling
Step 3: Swirl the pan as the crackling subsides
Step 4: At this stage the butter will start to change its colour to brown and will begin to start smelling nutty

Step 17: In another bowl, combine the flours, baking soda and salt
Step 18: Sift this into the bowl with the banana mixture, and fold until everything is combined
Step 19: There is no need to blend or over mix at this stage
Step 20: Add the nuts and fold again
Step 21: Pour the banana bread cake batter into the prepared loaf pan
Step 22: Sprinkle with a little sugar on the top, this gives an amazing crunchy crust to the bread
Step 23: Tap once to get rid of air bubbles, and place the banana bread loaf pan in the oven
Step 24: Bake for about 50 to 60 minutes
Step 25: Start checking for done-ness around 50 minutes
Step 26: A skewer or fork inserted into the middle should come out clean when it done
Step 27: Once baked, let the bread cool in the pan for 8-10 minutes
Step 28: Lift the bread using parchment paper and let it cool on a wire rack for another 10 minutes before serving
