Ingredients
Foxtail Millet (Raw)
0.5 small bowl (50g)
Cumin seeds
0.25 tsp (1.25g)
Ginger Paste
0.25 tsp (1.25g)
Yellow Moong Dal (Raw)
0.25 small cup (25g)
Common salt
0.25 tsp (1.25g)
Plain Water
1 medium glass (250g)
Olive Oil
1 tsp (5g)
Coriander leaves
1 tsp (5g)
Instructions
Preparation
Rinse the foxtail millet and dal with water and soak them for 30 minutes separately.
Cooking Steps
Heat oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add ginger paste and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until the raw smell goes away.
Drain the water from the soaked millet and dal and add them to the pressure cooker. Mix well and saute for 1-2 minutes.
Add salt and water and mix well. Cover the pressure cooker with a lid and cook for 2-3 whistles over low heat.
Let the pressure release naturally and then open the lid. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
