Cooking Steps
Step 1: To begin making the Methi & Soya Chunks Dry Sabzi Recipe , we need to soak the soya chunks in a bowl of boiling hot water for about 20 minutes
Step 2: After 20 minutes, drain the extra water and set it aside
Step 3: In a heavy bottomed pan, heat oil on medium heat, add mustard seeds and let them splutter
Step 4: Next, add in the chopped onion and cook till it turns golden brown
Step 5: This will take about 4 to 6 minutes
Step 6: Once the onions are nice and brown in colour, add in the chopped tomato and cook well until they turn soft and mushy
Step 7: Now that the onion tomato base has come together, add the methi leaves
Step 8: Cover and let it cook for 2 minutes
Step 9: At this stage add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and stir well
Step 10: To this methi mix, add the drained soya and salt
Step 11: Mix well to combine and let it cook for 2 more minutes
Step 12: Turn off the heat and remove Methi & Soya Chunks Dry Sabzi into a serving bowl
