Bottle gourd, elongate, pale green

Instructions
Cooking Steps
Step 1: Pressure Cook the Vegetables
- Add drumstick pieces, cubed lauki , onion, and coriander leaves into a pressure cooker.
- Pour 2 cups of water into the cooker.
- Pressure cook for 3–4 whistles or until all the vegetables turn soft.
Step 2: Separate and Grind
- Open the pressure cooker and strain the mixture.
- Keep the strained stock (water) aside.
- Transfer the boiled vegetables to a mixer grinder and blend them into a smooth paste.
- Strain the paste through a sieve to achieve a smooth, velvety soup base.
- Add all reserved stock to adjust the soup’s consistency.
Step 3: Prepare the Tadka
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add grated ginger and sauté for a few seconds.
- Add turmeric and mix well.
Step 4: Combine Everything
- Pour the strained drumstick–lauki puree into the pan with the tadka.
- Add salt and black pepper to taste.
- Cook for 3–4 minutes on low-medium flame until the soup thickens slightly and the flavors combine.
Step 5: Serve
- Serve the soup hot.
